WordPress Plugin: SIMILE Timeline

WordPress takes a bite. Here’s something I’ve been experimenting with. For a whole couple of minutes, at least. As with most WordPress plugins it was a matter of upload, activation and copy-pasting. Et voila:

Timeline is a DHTML-based AJAXy widget for visualizing time-based events. It is like Google Maps for time-based information.

You can drag the timeline with your mouse and click on the events to see a description of that post. If you want to know more about the SIMILE timeline, visit the SIMILE MIT site.

Or just grab the WordPress plugin, like me, from Tim Isenheim’s freshlabs.

Very easy to use. Very easy to incorporate images.
You can visualize your events by using this ajax widget. Do what you need to do to have your photos in place and your step-by-step story also.
