Egosurfing is the act of looking oneselves up in one of the major search engines.

How To

• Go to a search engine like Google, Yahoo or MSN Search
• Type (a part of) your name/companyname/competitor in the searchfield and see what is returned.
• If nothing is returned and you have no online presence and don't want to be online this is good. Bad is when you have any business and no-one is able to find you with the top 3 search engines.
• If you have results, go over them. Most will be recognisable, some will be new. Do something with it...
