I upgraded from 1.3 to 1.5 successfully yesterday, and the system seems to have changed from /stylesheets to /skins and there's no obvious file to edit within /skins/monobook.

Sorry, not any time soon. I still need to upgrade myself and if you look at the current state of my wiki you'll see I haven't gotten around to editing my skin. I was going to point at meta.mediawiki.org, but it seems that site is down (again). :-(
If you want to edit the monobook skin you need to take a look at the 'MonoBook.php' file in the /skins directory. The /skins/monobook dir only contains the images and stylesheets used by MonoBook. I suggest you make a copy of the MonoBook.php and experiment with that one. Within your user preferences you can select your copied skin and test. Beware of caching issues as MediaWiki may cache some things in memory, so your changes may not show directly in your browser. --Caspar 14:04, 24 Oct 2005 (CEST)
