Totally non-WebDev, but the guys at Google just made the leap and became extraterrestrial. Today sees the launch of Google Moon. Like Google Maps, but this time from our friendly neighbouring rock.

I’ve been using Furl for almost a year now. In fact it was Jul 23, 2004 at 23:13:58 GMT that I ‘furled’ my very first furl: Furl – How to Save. Using it on a daily basis, I collected some 500+ interesting, funny, need-to-know, nice-to-know or what-else public links. Not much compared to others, but still a respectable number nonetheless. 🙂
So what have I been hamstering this past year? Let’s take a look at some of the highlights.
Finally! It has been a long wait. 🙂 But it’s only a meagre PR of 1! Damn it. 🙁
It’s about time I remove my homepage then. 😉
In a weird way my homepage has received a 1, but the rest a 4. Take for instance the reference or the Google Search category.
Ah well… everyone knows the PageRank is for ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY. Yeah right…

While Firefox 1.1 is underway we’re presented with yet another 1.0 update. So what’s new?
Firefox 1.0.5 is a security update that is part of our ongoing program to provide a safe Internet experience for our customers. We recommend that all users upgrade to this latest version.
Also the promise of “Improvements to stability.” sounds good to me. I’ll give it a try.
Update: Back on air with 1.0.5… don’t know what they did, but it’s lightning fast. Did they already activate the ‘back and forth’ caching? 😕
Oh and be sure before upgrading, that you’ve visited all your tabs…
In a totally non-webdev way I’ve let my blog down for a ‘couple o’ days’. Why? That damn Google Earth virus caught me…
I advise, anyone with some time on their hands, not to install the damn thing. First there was Google Maps. Before that, Google acquired Keyhole. Now they give you this piece of crap that let’s you zoom into ANY part of the world and, if you want, whirl around it. 🙁 (For the 7th time this day, is it drawback or plain nausea?)

Google has released an official beta, what isn’t beta from Google these days, of their toolbar for Firefox. Previously this was only available for IE-users. Get the toolbar at: http://toolbar.google.com/firefox/
Furthermore they’ve released two more extensions:
People viewing my feed will be relieved as of today. I will no longer use the FeedBurner ‘Link Splice’ option, which added my Furl into the main sites webfeed.
Why? I was getting fed up by the constant ‘there’s a new item’ notice in Bloglines and FeedDemon. Also, I don’t see an added value merging feeds together. 🙂
So, if you want to keep up-to-date with what’s happening at ThinkLemon and already were subscribed to the main feed. You’ll have to do NOTHING. How’s that for a change?

Just take a look at the first page at Google. There are 7 million hits and all the links on the first page stink. 🙁
How come? Is it the most abused keyword? 😕
As I could not find an extension or script specifically for MediaWiki that would automatically deploy a Google Sitemap, I thought, why not build one myself? And in the process try and learn some PHP on the way.
